Lately I've been on the lookout for easy sewing projects--little somethings that aren't too hard to master and have a comfortable impact-to-effort ratio. Enter this darling little pillow from my dear old friend, Martha Stewart. Martha made things easy on us this time. In addition to being simple to make, I thought this was adorable and special. You could even embroider the child's name on the pillow, introduce fringe, or switch up the applique for each additional child. This time a molar, next time a dentist with a mean look, wielding a sharp object--a subtle incentive to brush regularly.
On the video, Martha asks her audience how much the going rate is for teeth these days. What do you think, gentle reader? All 3 of you? I think we got a quarter. Considering inflation perhaps an increase is in order. But, in case you hadn't heard, we are in a recession. So maybe $.25 is still okay?
If you are having a baby sometime in the near future, or even if you're not, don't be surprised if you get one of these from me. I think they are D-A-R-L-I-N-G! I'll stay away from the mean dentist design though, okay? And if you don't want to start the tooth fairy thing, just snip off the tooth and repurpose as throw in the nursery. We'll talk about it later.
